OUR FOCUS

Background

Bahass foundation started operation in the year 2004 as a voluntary community group in the Wa municipality to assist improve the lives of people living with mental illness on the streets of the upper west region without families. The organization had formal and legal registration as a nongovernmental organization in the year 2010. Founded by Mr. Illiasu Baba Yussif a herbal medicine practitioner, out of the need to serve mentally ill people living on the streets ignored, without families, unfed, unclothed, untreated in the Wa municipality.
